Camp Tohkomeupog Goes Green

The camp plays a regular role in recycling during the operating season but actually plays a very different role in minimizing our impact:

Camp “Tohko” uses education as part of its regular program to respect the environment. They follow the "Leave No Trace" program during hikes and retreats and they teach the importance of following trails instead of using short cuts to reduce erosion.

Many of their regular programs revolve around the many ways each individual can minimize the impact left behind. The boys leave their camp experience as stewards of the environment.

“Preserving the land for the future enjoyment of our children… it is just the right thing to do.”
Edward E. Hoyt
